Our story

Sunna Fertility Clinic was founded with the aim of providing people undergoing fertility treatment with the services they need, emphasizing warmth, compassion, and professionalism. At Sunna, we believe that fertility treatments should be a humane and supportive experience, and we place great importance on creating an environment where clients feel secure and supported.

The founders of Sunna are the couple Ingunn Jonsdottir and Thorir Hardarson. Ingunn is a specialized obstetrician and gynecologist, and Thorir is a fertility specialist and a professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Iceland. They bring decades of experience in fertility medicine, both in Iceland and Sweden, providing valuable knowledge and understanding to the operation of Sunna.

Additionally, Kristbjorg Heidur Olsen, an obstetrician and gynecologist, and Hulda Hronn Bjorgulfsdottir, a nurse, have joined Sunna as partners. They both share a passion for providing exceptional care and support in the fertility journey.

The company Osar hf. is also a shareholder in Sunna and provides crucial support services in matters such as finance and marketing. This collaboration ensures that Sunna can offer comprehensive and professional services in fertility medicine.
